Diwali
The Festival of Lights
For five nights, homes glow with rows of diyas - small clay lamps lit for light over darkness, good over evil, and hope over despair. Families gather, mithaas is shared, and Lakshmi, goddess of prosperity, is welcomed through open doors. It is the warmest night of the year - and this tote was made to carry a little of it with you.
The lotus is Diwali's flower: offered to Lakshmi, floated beside the diyas, drawn into rangoli - rising clean from muddy water as a symbol of purity, renewal, and new beginnings. Our blush blooms and small lotus mark sit on warm oyster canvas, in the same tones as the flowers and lamplight of the festival itself.
